cg_drawStatus 2 enables the new style ctf flag status display. cg_drawStatus 3 combines the new style and the legacy style. new style is designed to work with cg_drawTimer 7 and cg_drawScores 3, but can work independent of each.
In this example, blue flag has been taken but was dropped in the field, returning in 24 seconds, and i have the red flag.
And it will become a home icon when the flag has been returned and is on the stand:
